291 rabbit wounds were measured using (a) imitoMeasure as a smartphone-based wound measurement tool, and (b) acetate tracing as the traditional manual wound measurement method. Wound measurements were then compared against (c) ImageJ as the established digital wound measurement method.
The authors Sharun et al. conclude that imitoMeasure consistently showed a higher level of agreement with ImageJ, particularly in small and intermediate wounds. imitoMeasure also proved to be the quickest method across all wound sizes, whereas wound tracing required the longest processing time.
