EPUAP 2026 in Dublin

Following the summer break, team imito kicked off the new event season full of energy: The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP) annual meeting in Dublin, Ireland, provided the ideal stage to present innovative technologies for pressure ulcer and wound care to an international audience of experts. Over the course of three days, the focus was on exchanging ideas about modern care standards and the implementation of digital assistance systems.

A central focus of our time in Dublin was direct dialogue with nurses, physicians, and healthcare professionals. Events like this are essential for us to gain a deeper understanding of the daily hurdles faced in clinical and nursing routines. Discussions surrounding visions for wound care and requirements for digital tools directly inform our ongoing product development.

A special highlight at our booth was the live demonstrations: It is always inspiring to watch visitors' reactions when they experience imito’s automatic 3D wound measurement in action for the first time and realize the clear advantage over manual methods.

In addition to exhibiting at the conference, we contributed two scientific presentations to the official program:

  • Poster #21 (Poster Area): Clinical Validation of a Mobile LiDAR-Based 3D System for Precise Pressure Ulcer Morphometry - A presentation detailing the clinical validation of our mobile LiDAR-based system for precise pressure ulcer measurement.
  • Presentation in the "AI & Digital Health Innovations" Session: Dr. Sofia Zahia delivered a well-received talk on Automated 3D Depth Morphometry of Complex Wounds: Fusing AI, Mobile LiDAR and Photogrammetry. She demonstrated how combining artificial intelligence, mobile LiDAR technology, and photogrammetry enables automated depth and volume measurement for complex wounds.

We look back on a thoroughly successful EPUAP conference filled with valuable insights and enriching connections. We remain dedicated to pushing forward on our mission - because Every Wound Deserves A Genius.
