I am based in Estonia and my biggest passion outside of work is going to the mountains, skiing, hiking and enjoying the views. Fitness, arts and travelling are some of the other activities I love.
As for my professional journey - it started in the research laboratory doing science experiments. I have since changed direction and moved to the regulatory and quality field. Over the last 10 years, I have had an opportunity to work with different stages of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle including clinical trials, marketing authorisation, distribution, and post-marketing surveillance.
Healthcare technology is an innovative and rapidly developing area. The regulatory landscape is changing and trying to catch up with technological developments. This provides many opportunities for learning, personal growth, analysing changes and thinking of how to apply them in practice efficiently. imitoWound, for example, aims to provide more effective solutions for wound healthcare, and I’m excited to be part of this important and valuable mission.
There are two main reasons: working on an approved class I medical device, and having a chance to work with a small, innovative and ambitious company with a great team!
On the first meeting with imito’s team, I felt instantly welcomed and everyone seemed very friendly, open-minded and passionate about their work. I like the collaboration and flexibility of the team, and I’m also impressed by how well a fully remote team is cooperating.
My main mission is to research and apply regulatory requirements and industry standards to the company's products and processes.
Many thanks, Irina!
