imitoConnect
Imito offers seamless and standardized integration into the existing IT architecture of your hospital's electronic patient records.
ImitoConnect, the heart of our app solutions, enables the universal reuse of the app-based documentation.
All our app solutions can be operated via imitoConnect, independent from the manufacturers of the hospital information systems (HIS).
Apps
Our apps connect to imitoConnect through a secured web service that provides the following services for the apps:
• User authentication and verification of the validity of user accounts
• Role management
• Provision and administration of patient data
• Standardized export of the documents with results to the linked systems
• Sending of reports by e-mail
• Management of categories
Seamless Integration
With the goal of integrating into your existing IT architecture, imitoConnect finds a common denominator for integration across eHealth standards for all environments.
All license packages contain the following interfaces:
• Patient master data processing via HL7-ADT messages
• User administration via Active Directory (LDAP)
• Result communication via DICOM, HL7-ORU, HL7-MDM
• Processing of requests via HL7-ORM messages

Using eHealth standards for a seamless integration
For a seamless integration, the use of standardized interfaces with other systems is required. The imitoCam app solution integrates via the imitoConnect back-end service with the existing components for patient management, user administration and clinical workplace system. There imito relies on proven standards such as HL7 for the transfer of the patient master data and DICOM for the transfer of patient-related image data. Available interfaces for the integration into the existing system landscape:
Patient master data
For identification of the patients the patient master data (patient number, surname, first name, date of birth and gender), as well as the case data (case number, type of admission, admission date, date of discharge and department) are stored temporarily on imitoConnect. The patient and case data can be received and processed via a HL7 MLLP socket port or alternatively via the exchange directory.
Further details about the HL7 functionality are documented in the current HL7 Conformance Statement.
User Management
User administration via an LDAP directory service is included in the product range. It not only enables central rights and role management but also facilitates the simple maintenance of the user information since this is also used to document the author.
The imitoConnect links the Active Directory user groups to the imito user roles. This allows you to configure different department codes, different categories, as well as the entry points of the graphical body map for each role.
Reporting of Results
ImitoConnect is not an archive and therefore the archiving of the documented picture series is an essential part of the integration.
For archiving the image series of imitoConnect are forwarded to the medical image archive via the DICOM interface. For viewing via imitoCam archived image series can also be downloaded from the medical image archives. Order data can be transmitted to the medical image archive with an additional HL7-ORM message.
Results, including a reference to the archived image series, can be transferred to the clinical workplace system via an HL7-ORU message.
